Euroformula Open – Monza Report: RP on the podium with Fioravanti in the temple of speed

3 October 2016

Bittersweet weekend for RP Motorsport between the friendly walls of Monza, theatre of the antepenultimate seasonal round of Euroformula Open. The team managed by Fabio Pampado and Niki Rocca was one of the indiscussed protagonists of Race 1, that saw his Italian bearer Domenico Fioravanti win the place of honour after starting from the pole position. But the driver from Rome didn’t confirm in Race 2 because of a contact at the Roggia, anyway he still has the fifth position in the overall ranking.

Regularly in the top 5 his team mate Enaam Ahmed, returning from the experience in the British F3 and immediately at ease at the wheel of the RP Dallara, he placed fourth in Race 1 ahead of the mates Antoni Ptak (out in the second race for the left front suspension broken) and Tanart Sathienthirakul, follone by a fifth place in Race 2.

After the Italian round in Brianza, the mind of drivers and the whole staff now is toward the last two Spanish rounds, with Jerez de la Frontera next to work on for a good final scheduled in Andalusia between October 28th and 30th, followed by the fall of the curtain that will be on the Circuit de Catalunya on November 5th and 6th.
